Vijay Varma

PhD student at Caltech

About me

I am a Physics PhD student in the TAPIR group at Caltech, working with Dr. Yanbei Chen and Dr. Mark Scheel. My main research interests are Numerical Relativity and Gravitational waves.

My research is focused on Numerical Relativity and Gravitational Waves. I am a member of the Simulating Extreme Spacetimes Collaboration ( SXS ), which has developed the Spectral Einstein Code (SpEC) for simulating fully general relativistic evolution of compacts binaries. I am currently working on Initial data for binary black holes, studying waveform systematics for LIGO and waveform modelling.

My Work

With no promises of maintaining it up to date, I will try and summarize the projects I'm working on or have worked on in the past.
