Realistic disc simulations


The two movies below are taken from the simulation carried out in this paper. They show the gas density evolution during disc formation in slices parallel (first movie) and perpendicular (second movie) to the stellar orbital plane. The outflow of gas launched from the intersection point is modelled by injecting gas inside the computational domain from the spherical box indicated by the grey circle. The white dot indicates the black hole.
