• Michele tells what happened at LIST. Plans for challenges:
  • MLDC “for students” (1C).
  • MLDC 4 with big enchilada (all MLDC 3 sources, more of them, one set, 2 years, higher sampling rate, released summer 2009, 1 year to do it), will encourage cross-institution collaboration.
  • MLDC 5 with more realistic instrument noise (released after decadal).
• Parallel task force starting on realistic instrument characterization with LPF people. Neil suggests we should be represented. Michele will attend/organize
• Ed/Shane: could release MLDC 5 halfway through MLDC 4? Michele: that’s OK, we’ll have to see how the noise sources, etc., develop
• Will need to move telecon to accommodate more people, run poll
